In the Gleam Beyond the Gloom

Through the darkness I part the Veil,
And walk the hidden paths,
In the brightness beyond the pale,
I see what none have seen.
There's danger here in the world beyond,
In the gleam beyond the gloom.

And all my days it waits for me,
The calling in my blood,
And through the years I walk the paths,
That very few have seen,
The Veil grows thin as years go by,
In the gleam beyond the gloom.

Through the darkness I return again,
From those fair hidden paths,
And as I walk I learn to talk,
Like I once knew I could,
For few have been beyond the veil,
In the gleam beyond the gloom.

~In the Gleam Beyond the Gloom by Bethany "Lorekeeper" Davis, March 5, 2015

My attempt at translating it into Latin:

Velum parte post umbram,
Et ambulate per semitae occultae,
In splendóribus supra pallidus,
Non video quid viderim.
Non est hic mundus extra periculum,
In splendóribus post umbram.

Et omnibus diebus meis memet maneat
Vocatio in sanguine meo,
Et per annos ambulate semitae,
Valde pauci, quas vidi,
Velum crescit tenuis quod eunt anni,
In splendóribus post umbram.

Per tenebras revertentur
Ex his latet semitas occultae,
Et ego ambulo illis loquela,
Scientes semel ego potui,
Pauci abierunt trans velum,
In splendóribus post umbram.

And a translation of that Latin from an academic translation site:

And the hanging for the part after the shadow,
And walk by the ways of the hidden God,
In the brightness of beyond the pale,
I do not see what I saw,
He is not here the world is out of danger,
In the brightness after the shadow.

The call waits for me,
In my blood, and all my days,
And I will walk you through the years, the highways,
Very few men, that I have seen,
As the years go by the thin veil of the increases,
In the brightness after the shadow.

From these things it is hidden by the darkness,
They shall come again the paths of the hidden God,
And I, I walk the angels have speech,
Yet knowing that once I was able to,
They went to the other side of the veil of the few,
In the brightness after the shadow.

Kiss of Darkness, Kiss of Light

Kiss of Darkness, Kiss of Light
By Muninn's Kiss
(2012-12-30)

Kiss of darkness, kiss of light,
Kiss of coldness, kiss of heat,
Kiss of dreaming, kiss of stars,
Kiss most innocent, at the heart.

Kiss of secrets, kiss of ways,
Kiss of lost things, kiss burned away,
Kiss so deep, kiss so bright,
Kiss most intimate, at my core.

Kiss of beginnings, kiss of all ways,
Kiss most storming, kiss of change,
Kiss to remember, kiss of Fate,
Kiss most knowing, all I know.

Kiss of dawn, red rimmed with pink,
Kiss of sunlight, as west meets east,
New beginnings, and magic spawned,
Kiss of awakening, by dawn's early light.

Kiss of noonday, of brightest light,
Kiss of sunlight, across the land,
At fulfillment, and solar heat,
Kiss of wakefulness, by noon's bright light.

Kiss of dusk, violet rimmed red,
Kiss of starlight, as the sun sets,
Time of fading, but secrets wake,
Kiss of changes, by dusk's last flame.

Kiss of midnight, of blackest night,
Kiss of moonlight, in heart of night,
Time for witching, and power strong,
Kiss of magic, by night's dark cloak.

Kiss of power, kiss of strength,
Kiss of secrets, kiss of lies,
Kiss of wisdom, kiss of truth,
Kiss me now, time between times.

What Did You Know in the Womb? A Riddle

What Did You Know in the Womb?
A Riddle
By Muninn's Kiss

What did you know before you could speak?
What did you know in the womb?
What fled your mind when you learned your first word?
What did you know in the womb?
What do you hear on the wings of the wind?
What did you know in the womb?
What do you learn from the crash of the waves?
What did you know in the womb?
What do you feel from the towering trees?
What did you know in the womb?
What do you learn from the smallest of leaves?
What did you know in the womb?
What do you learn watching the herds?
What did you know in the womb?
What do you see when you watch the wolf hunt?
What did you know in the womb?
What do you feel in the soul of the hare?
What did you know in the womb?
What do you learn soaring with the hawk?
What did you know in the womb?
On what was the earth founded older than all there is?
What did you know in the womb?
Who cries out in the streets and the gates?
What did you know in the womb?
Whose sister understands all and brother knows all?
What did you know in the womb?
What do you know more the less that you know?
What did you know in the womb?
What's deeper than deep and higher than high?
What did you know in the womb?
For what would you give your own right eye?
What did you know in the womb?
Whose craft do you know and whose art do you serve?
What did you know in the womb?
The older you get the closer you get,
What did you know in the womb?
When you step across what will learn?
What did you know in the womb?
The cold womb of Death the warm womb of Life,
What did you know in the womb?

A Riddle, A Musing, A Poem

A Riddle, A Musing, A Poem
By Muninn’s Kiss

Three Mothers stood alone.
Aleph, Mem, and Shin.
A great mystery are these three,
Watching, weaving, and true.

From the Mothers came three Fathers,
Stranger still are they.
Six rings around the Twins,
From six proceed all things.

A riddle I ask you, a riddle so true,
Can you answer me this?
A musing I give you in the form of a poem,
Do you catch my drift?

Three stood alone before all things,
Three who are older than time.
Six stood alone in the Outer Dark,
But which came before which other?

How old is Nimue, how old's the child,
Is she younger than all the rest?
How old is Ninue, is she younger than you,
Who was the very first born?

How old is Mari, how old's the mother,
Was she born and when was that?
How old is Mari, is she older than that,
Who's the reflection of God Herself?

How old's the Anna, how old's the crone,
Is she more ancient than all the rest?
How old's the Anna, is she older than dirt,
When was the Priestess born?

How old's the Blue God, when did he dance,
Was he very first born of all?
How old's the Blue God, how young's the youth,
Who is the last to endure?

How old is Twr, how old is Krom,
Is he father or teacher of all?
How old is Twr, in his tall tower.
Who's sword will cut through us all?

How old is Arddhu, how old is Death,
How long has he stood at the Gates?
How old is Arddhu, did youth or true death,
Come first in the order of things?

Three stood alone before all things,
Three who are older than time.
Six stood alone in the Outer Dark,
But which came before which other?

A riddle I ask you, a riddle so true,
Can you answer me this?
A musing I give you in the form of a poem,
Do you catch my drift?

From the Mothers came three Fathers,
Stranger still are they.
Six rings around the Twins,
From six proceed all things.

Three Mothers stood alone.
Aleph, Mem, and Shin.
A great mystery are these three,
Watching, weaving, and true.

Riddle of the Tree

Riddle of the Tree
By Muninn’s Kiss

What is the World Tree?
What is the Axis Mundi?
What is Yggdrasil?
What is Ygg's Steed?
What is Odin's Steed?
What is Sleipnir?
What stands at the Centre of the World?
What bridges worlds?
What is the rainbow bridge?
What is Bifrost?
Where is the Centre of the Compass?
Where is the Circumference?
Who am I?

The Womb of Night

The Womb of Night
By Muninn’s Kiss

In the deep dark Womb of darkest Night,
A Child is born by Dawn’s new light,
He grows and grows as seasons pass,
First real thin but getting fat,
And as time passes he comes to age,
A bright round face both pale and fair,
But then he fades and loses weight,
Thinner with each passing day,
Til death does take him in the night,
The Womb of Night his final Grave.

Oil of Nimue

Oil of Nimue
Ritual Poem by Muninn's Kiss

Oh sweet darling,
Girl full of power and might.
The pool of your blessing fills me,
The water pours out upon my head.
Your blessing, your loa, flows like water,
Covering me in your presence.
As I hold my hands over this oil, pour through me,
Fill this oil with your blessing, be present in it.
Oh sweet Nimue, so mote it be.

The Guardian of the Gates

The Guardian of the Gates#1
by Storm Faerywolf, from his site.

The Guardian of the Gates
By Muninn’s Kiss
Inspired by my post here.

A rainbow Bridge, across the sky,
From Asgard to Midgard below.
The Bifröst burns and shines above,
Connecting gods and man.

Da’ath does sit in the midst,
Of the dark, deep, gaping Abyss.
A glimpse of what is far beyond,
A trap to lose your mind.

A Priestess stands in the midst,
Of the circle, compass, round.
She makes a way to the Divine,
And Bridges the widened gap.

A Priest does stand at the fore,
Of the longing, craving crowds.
He raises his hands, the knife comes down,
And a way is born.

A Shaman dances in the midst,
Of his village looking on.
Ecstasy comes and with it gods,
And greater deeds are done.

A Witch is one, the Priest, the Bridge,
The circle and the point.
Human, Divine, Fey, and Witch,
The Guardian of the Gates.

Mari’s Face

Full Moon Through Clouds

Mari’s Face
By Muninn’s Kiss

Wispy clouds stretch across the face,
Of the moon, full and bright,
Glowing through the wispy clouds,
White light lighting up the night.

Mari’s face shining down,
The full moon of her full strength,
Great mother nourishing me,
The tides high reaching for land.

Desire

Desire
By Muninn's Kiss

I desire you, oh Great Goddess,
Mother of all there is.
I desire you, oh Quakoralina,
Black Virgin of Outer Space.

My heart cries out, my soul cries out,
My longing is all for you.
Toward you is all I am,
You who walks amongst the stars.

I desire to desire,
I long to long,
I lust to lust,
All for you, oh Sugmad.

All I am is burnt away,
All I am is blown away,
All I am is washed away,
All I am crumbs away.

And Desire is all that’s left.

Black Heart

And a Little Child Shall Lead Them
by  Charles Christian Nahl.
Image from 1st-Art-Gallery.

Black Heart
By Muninn’s Kiss

The wolf will live with the lamb,
the leopard will lie down with the goat,
the calf and the lion and the yearling a together;
and a little child will lead them.
~Isaiah 11:6 NIV

Black Heart,
Shining in the darkness.
Blackheart?
Black Heart.
Black Heart of Innocence.

The wolf stalks her prey,
Slowly walking,
Slowly slaking,
Careful,
Patient,
Silent,
Beautiful,
Closing in,
Almost,
Almost,
Pounce.
Down in comes.
Black Heart.

The mouse trembles,
Staying still,
Invisible.
Don’t see me,
Walk on by.
It’s slowing,
The mouse tenses.
It turns,
Run!
Black Heart.

Little child sits,
Crayon in hand,
Paper before him.
He pauses,
Thinking,
Picturing,
Imagining,
He smiles,
He begins.
Crayon on paper,
Bright colours,
Swirling,
Red,
Yellow,
Blue,
Black.
He draws the truth,
Truer than what he sees with his eyes.
The world within.
Black Heart.

Nimue stands,
Watching over them all.
She smiles,
They are hers,
Her people,
Her children.
Their innocence in hers,
Death and life,
Imagination.
Black Heart.

Black Heart,
Shining in the darkness.
Blackheart?
Black Heart.
Black Heart of Innocence.

Snows of Winter, Heat of Summer

Image from SodaHead

Snows of Winter, Heat of Summer
By Muninn’s Kiss

Snows of Winter, heat of Summer,
Two times, two worlds.
The Twins, they dance.

Winter King, in darkness reigns,
Death and darkness, ice and cold.
A crown of thorns upon his head,
Clothed in shadows, hidden light.
Magic dark and waning sun.
Tettens, Woden, Hermes stalks,
From the Castle of Weeping comes.

Summer King in brightness reigns,
Life, rebirth, light, and heat.
Winged crown, light rebounds,
Clothed in fire, born in light.
The sun it rises, warms the land.
A Child is born to warm our hearts.
Lucet, Lucifer, Morning Star,
Riding forth on wings of the morning.

The Twins, they dance,
The passing year.
Light, then dark, then light again.
Two Kings reign, both to die,
Two grooms for oh blessed Night.
Life and Death, Light and Dark,
Ever changing, ever the same.
Snows of Winter melt and thaw.
Heat of Summer takes their place.
Out of darkness shines the brightest light.

The Night Devours You

The Night Devours You
By Muninn's Kiss

Inspired by the words of an amazing girl, including some of hers

Look to the sky,
Feel the Night's presence.
Night's embrace,
The arms of Darkness hold you.
The Night envelops you,
It is hungry,
The Night devours you.
Lost in it.

As you are consumed,
You consume.
As the night devours you,
You devour.
Consumed becomes consumer,
Devouring yourself, one with yourself.
The Night and you are one.

Standing in the Void of Space,
Alone,
But not alone.
You are Night,
You are God Herself,
Nuit, full of stars.
Complete in yourself,
Unneeding,
Eternally satisfied.

The Mirror before you,
Yourself, looking at yourself,
In the Dark Mirror,
The curve of space.
Complete and alone,
Not alone.
Other.
Self.

You step towards.
She steps towards.
Night sees Night,
Embrace,
Passion.
She is you.
You are Night.
She is Night.
One.

Love, ecstasy.
Coupling, self with self.
Sex.
Orgasm.
Power.
Consumed.
Lost.

Worlds spin away,
Creation begins.
Light out of Darkness.
Let there be light.
Shaking from passion.
Vibrations between atoms.
Night, proton.
Electron and neutron,
Twins, Divine Twins.
Big Bang, Big Orgasm.
Stars, the substance of stars.
Every man and woman is a star.

When it is dark enough, you can see the stars.

The Mirrors in Her Eyes

Image from the Rainbow Babies
The Mirrors in Her Eyes
By Muninn's Kiss

God Herself, looking in the Mirror,
Mari our Mother, looking back at Her.
First love, first lust, creation in a smile.
The dance, the courtship, the embrace.
I watch it in my mind’s eye, from without, from within.
I feel the rush, the mighty rush, I feel the heat.
Desire, passion, all there is and all there will be.
I look out through Mari’s eyes,
I look deep into Her eyes.
And in those mirrors, I see myself.

Nimue

Image from We Heart You

Nimue
By Muninn's Kiss

She sits by the water
So innocent, so beautiful
He hair cropped short
Her dress dirty, covered in dust
She smiles at me
So sweetly, so happy
She rises and I kneel before her
Not much taller than I am on my knees
Her hands are behind her back
She has something, hidden
Her smile brightens
So radiant, so pretty
She leans over me
And places the crown of healing upon my brow

Faeried Soul

Image from Super Eco

Faeried Soul
By Muninn's Kiss

Faeried soul and blighted days
Sorrow, suffering, joy, and pain
Things seem hard and things seem strange
Where is peace and where is power?
Growing ever worse it seems
In a world of steel and glass
With no sign of nature fair
Seek the way to align the soul
Power flowing through our veins
Reaching up and reaching down
The power comes from all around
In the centre here I stand
Faeried soul and God's own hand

Shapeshifter

Image from My Year Book

Shapeshifter
By Muninn's Kiss
11.26.09

Fetch is a cat.
Independent, comfort loving, needy.

Fetch is a raven.
Wise, trickster, loves shiny things.

Fetch is a mouse.
Hungry, afraid, seeking.

Fetch is a dolphin.
Smart, fun loving, caring.

Fetch is a dog.
Loyal, loving, playful.

Fetch is a dragon.
Strong, dangerous, hoarding.

Fetch is me.
Obsessive, focused, relaxed.
